Vera Sola, the daughter of Dan Aykroyd, previously released her debut album Shades in 2018. In 2019, she served as an instructor at the Milk Carton Kids' Sad Songs Summer Camp, where her friendship with member Kenneth Pattengale blossomed. Pattengale praised her distinctive approach to songwriting.
